Our deep local knowledge of London sets us apart as true travel experts. We know the best places to visit along with recommendations to the hottest shows in town, and the finest tours to take.
Tourist England works with all London West End theatres, offering you the best in musicals, shows and plays. We only offer musicals and plays with strong reviews. All our shows are in Central London; we don't sell any that are in London's suburbs.
There are hundreds of tours in London, and we appreciate how difficult it is to know which one to choose. For 15 years, we have worked with four of the principal tour companies as well as offering our own tours. We carefully select which ones to offer based on the best value for money and quality of the tour.
Our best-selling tours include the Hop-on-Hop-off Bus Tour and the Afternoon Tea Bus Tour . If you're unsure what tour to take, get in touch and we're happy to give advise with a real person, not AI.
At Tourist England, we not only promote paid attractions but also showcase free attractions, such as the British Museum, which you won't find on most websites. It's part of our commitment to showcasing everything that London has to offer tourists.
Most visitors don’t consider travelling outside of London, but we honestly feel they are missing out. There are many special places to see within the space of a day, adding a different experience and creating more lasting memories to your vacation. At Tourist England, we run our own tours as well as working closely with other leading travel companies to provide a wide selection of the best tours.
This is our most popular day tour and we advise customers who contact us for advise to strongly consider this one. A lot of feedback is that many tours can feel rushed. This one definitely isn’t, with 2 hours at Stonehenge and 3 hours at Windsor Castle, it’s a leisurely experience for those who prefer a slower pace.
Stonehenge is the most popular of all our day tours from London. Most of our customers greatly enjoy Stonehenge and for many it is the highlight or even the reason for coming to England. However, some visitors are a little underwhelmed by it, so we recommend, if unsure, reading up before booking.
We offer 15 different tours, including a very popular direct coach to Stonehenge from London. With so many tours to choose from, we offer an advice service. You can contact us, and our team will help choose the best tour for you.
It surprises many of our clients that you can actually take a day trip to Paris from London. It’s a long day, but if that’s not an issue, for many, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime. Lunch at the Eiffel Tower, a guided tour of Notre Dame, seeing The Mona Lisa, and returning with so many lasting memories.
We’ve created several small group tours that fill the gap for people who prefer not to travel in a large group, but without the cost of a private tour. We find that a group with a maximum of 16 people creates a comfortable 'business class' vibe. We offer 5 small group tours to choose from. These tours cover the most popular tourist locations to visit outside of London.
The Harry Potter Studio Tour is extremely popular, so we always advise booking early as it gets sold out. Some of our travelers are concerned that we only spend 4 hours at the Studio, but rest assured that this is plenty of time. Most of our tours start at London Victoria, but it's often more convenient to get picked up and dropped off at your hotel, and it’s not necessarily more expensive.
Whilst there are Beatles tours in London, if you are a true fan, it’s worth considering making the pilgrimage to Liverpool. See where it all started, the actual places that inspired The Fab4. Visit The Cavern Club, Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane and take a Magical Mystery Bus tour of Liverpool.
This is ground zero for all Beatles fans.
Our Downton Abbey tour centres around visiting Highclere Castle. It’s only open on selected days, so if you’re a true fan, we advise planning your vacation around the Castle opening dates. We find our clients on this tour are a little older, so a small group of up to 18 guests is very appreciated. The price is slightly extra, but if this is what you value, it’s well worth it.
Southampton Cruise Terminal is located on the Southern coast of England 80 miles (120km) from Central London. What might seem like a disadvantage to some is in fact an opportunity for others. Between Southampton and London are some of the most famous towns and landmarks in England. This includes Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and The Cotswolds. We offer a range of group and private transfers that take advantage of these sights to offer an unforgettable Southampton Cruise Terminal transfer to or from London.
We suggest arriving in London a day before your cruise and staying in a hotel overnight, either at the airport or in London, to ensure you don’t have any problems with delayed flights. Some of our clients take the opportunity to spend more days in London before their cruise to explore the capital. Whatever you decide, we will collect you from your hotel or directly from the airport and transfer you to Southampton Cruise Terminal, with optional sightseeing at Stonehenge or Windsor Castle along the way.
Once your cruise has ended, make the final leg of your vacation a memorable one. Our tour transfers offer a seamless journey to Heathrow Airport and London hotels. If you are taking a flight, we recommend booking it in the late evening should you want to enjoy one of our full day tours.
We monitor the cruise ships arrival time closely, and if it is late coming into port, we will always wait.
We offer a selection of pre-planned private tours, as well as customized tours where our specialist private tour department will work with you to design your perfect day out. Most companies don’t offer this service.
For ultimate flexibility, you can make changes to the itinerary on the day with the advice of your guide, if you feel like spending more time at one location and less at another. It’s your day, and we are here to make it an unforgettable one.
Many guests choose to explore the Cotswolds on a day out from London, seeing some of the prettiest villages in England and enjoying a country pub lunch. Others choose to visit Stonehenge and combine it with Bath and Windsor Castle.
We are very careful about which tour guides we work with. They are selected not only for their expert knowledge and enthusiasm for England’s history, culture, and heritage, but also for the way that they interact with our guests. It's important to us that our guests enjoy spending time with their guides, and their positive feedback is a testament to the excellent private tours that we offer.
Many guests do not realize that it’s possible to visit the Normandy D-Day landing sites or the WW1 trenches on a multi-day tour from London by taking the ferry or train to France. We offer military tours with specialist battlefield guides. If you have relatives who fought in France, we can research and design the tour to trace in their footsteps.
In England, we offer military-themed private tours, including to WWII airfields, Bletchley Park and the Royal Air Force Museum, as well as medieval castles and historic battlefields.
